Remote License Checkout Utility

Remote license checkout allows computers without internet access to use Cloud Sign-in Licenses. With the assistance of a computer connected to the internet, a license can be checked out and a license file generated for the offline computer.

Details:

• The license checkout and license file generation through the CSI Customer Center can only be completed by a Customer Account Administrator

• The license checked out through this process cannot be checked back in

• Licenses can be checked out for a maximum of 1 year at a time

• Licenses checked out are not available for use in the license pool for the duration of the checkout period

• CSiBridge v26.3.0 and later

• SAP2000 v26.3.0 and later

• ETABS v23.0.0 and later

• SAFE v23.0.0 and later

• Perform3D v11.0.0 and later

• CSiPlant v10.0.0 and later

• CSiCol v12.0.0 and later

Process Overview:

1. A fingerprint file is generated on the offline machine.
   To generate the fingerprint file run CSI.RemoteCheckout.exe, which is located in the program installation file under: \Computers and Structures\[PRODUCT NAME]\CSiLicensing\RemoteCheckout

2. The fingerprint file is then copied over to a machine with internet is uploaded to the CSI Customer Center to checkout a license.
   The Remote License Generator page can be found under the Cloud Licensing Tools menu in the CSI Customer Center.

3. A license file is generated through the Remote License Generator using the fingerprint file.

4. The license file is then uploaded on the offline machine (by running the CSI.RemoteCheckout.exe again). The software can now run with this checked out license.
