Parallel processing for multiple cores / CPUs
Multiple cores are used when factoring the stiffness matrix and when solving for load vectors. These operations occur during the following analyses:
- Linear-static
- Nonlinear-static
- Eigen and Ritz
- Direct-integration time-history
- Influence-based
The following operations are also parallelized:
- Moving-load analysis
- Nonlinear modal time history is parallelized for state determination and results recovery.
- For nonlinear static and nonlinear direct integration time history cases, nonlinear stiffness formation, event determination, and state update algorithms for the elements below:
- Frame/Pipe
- Link
- Plane/Asolid
- Solid
- Shell
Future CSI Software releases will offer additional parallel processing capabilities for various software applications.
