Parallel processing for multiple cores / CPUs
Depending on the size of the model and the selected solver, multiple CPU cores can be utilized when factoring the stiffness matrix and/or solving for load vectors. The following operations are also parallelized:
- Moving-load analysis.
- State update & results recovery for nonlinear modal time history cases.
- Nonlinear stiffness formation, event determination, and state update for Frame, Pipe, and Link elements for nonlinear static and nonlinear direct integration time history cases.
It is also possible run multiple load cases simultaneously regardless of the load case type.
Future CSI Software releases will offer additional parallel processing capabilities for various software applications.
