Dome structures

How are domes created within SAP2000?

Answer: Dome structures may be created using the shell template available upon creating a new model. Options for this shell type include spherical and parabolic domes. Application of the spherical dome template is demonstrated in Problem T of Help > Contents > Example Problems.

As an alternative, domes may be created within AutoCAD, then imported into SAP2000 as described in the DXF import tutorial.
