Casing in Caltrans Secting Designer sections

The casing is not included in the calculation of the section properties. The casing is use primarily for confinement, and optionally will contribute to the moment-curvature relationship depending on the value of the Longitudinal Factor, which varies from zero (no contribution) to unity (full contribution).
