Manual changes are lost after updating bridge object

Bridge modeler will create structural model based on the parametric bridge object definition. When manual changes are applied to the elements that were originally created by the bridge modeler, these changes might be lost the next time the bridge object is updated, which will recreate the structural model from the parametric bridge object definition. This is expected behavior and the Mixed models article provides some additional tips when there is a need to accommodate manual changes.
