Effect of longitudinal steel on concrete stiffness

Longitudinal steel does not contribute to the stiffness of reinforced-concrete frame objects, though it does contribute to sources which follow:

• Cross-section design using the parameters available through the Design menu.

• Fiber-hinge response when inelastic material behavior is specified.

• Moment-curvature relationships obtained through the Section Designer.
