CSiPlant enables users to assign property modifiers which use scale factors to amplify or reduce element stiffness separately in each local direction as well as scale mass and weight.

For example, if a company has an internal calculation method to determine an increase in elbow bending stiffness due to a trunnion attachment, users can assign an increased scale factor to the elbow moments of inertia without having to change stiffness in other directions.

When modeling composite stiffness of refractory piping, users may want to increase stiffness in the axial direction, but may not want to rely on an increased composite stiffness in bending directions.

Property modifiers may also be used to define rigid zero weight elements for modeling purposes.
