The bridge modeler creates an object-based bridge model. Structural components are based on parametric definitions involving deck type and various bridge properties. For example, link elements represent bearings, [body constraints] represent girder-deck connections, etc. Additional element descriptions are as follows:

Based on the parametric definition, the Bridge Modeler creates a structural model for the analysis. The structural elements that are created (such as links representing the bearing, [body constraints] used for connection of the girder to the deck, etc.) vary depending on the deck section of the bridge and other bridge properties and are described in detail below.
