For each shell object, stresses are first calculated at integration points, then extrapolated to the joints. When multiple shell objects share a common joint, the joint stresses which are calculated from each shell object may be different. When the option for Stress Averaging is specified, joint stress is given as the average of those values taken from shells which share a common joint.
