This article provides some tips how to troubleshoot and resolve problems with the program running slow or freezing.

Troubleshooting instructions

The first step in troubleshooting this issue would be to determine whether the slowness is caused by retrieving the network license or by something else. Please use WCommute.exe to check out the network license to the local machine.

If the slowness goes away after checking out the network license, it is related to retrieving the network license over the network and could be caused by network congestion and delays. It could be resolved by moving the license server "closer" to the machine running the program.

If the slowness remains after checking out the network license, it is caused by some characteristics of the environment of the local machine. You can try restarting the machine (to kill all processes that might not be in use), temporarily disable antivirus to avoid a possibility of the antivirus interfering with the program, etc. to determine the cause of the slowness. Also make sure that models that are run are stored on the local machine and not on a network drive.

If only specific models are affected by the slownes, please create a support ticket in the Customer Support Portal, upload your model for further investigation and describe in detail what triggers the slowness.
