Parallel processing for multiple cores / CPUs
As of V14.1.0, multi-cores are used Depending on the size of the model and the selected solver, multiple CPU cores can be utilized when factoring the stiffness matrix and/or solving the for load vectors. This would occur during linear static analysis, Eigen and Ritz analysis, nonlinear static and direct-integration time-history, and influence-line analysis. Once the modes are found, modal time-history analysis currently uses a single core. Similarly, moving-load analysis uses a single core. Adding additional parallel processing capabilities for different parts of the program is planned for future releases.

The following operations are also parallelized:
- Moving-load analysis.
- State update & results recovery for nonlinear modal time history cases.
- Nonlinear stiffness formation, event determination, and state update for Frame, Pipe, and Link elements for nonlinear static and nonlinear direct integration time history cases.
It is also possible run multiple load cases simultaneously regardless of the load case type.
Future CSI Software releases will offer additional parallel processing capabilities for various software applications.
