Parallel processing for multiple cores / CPUs
Multiple cores are used Depending on the size of the model and the selected solver, multiple CPU cores can be utilized when factoring the stiffness matrix and when /or solving for load vectors. These operations occur during the following analyses:
- Linear-static
- Nonlinear-static
- Eigen and Ritz
- Direct-integration time-history
- Influence-based
The following operations are also parallelized:
- Moving-load analysis
- Nonlinear modal time history is parallelized for state determination and results recovery.
- For nonlinear static and nonlinear direct integration time history cases, nonlinear .
- State update & results recovery for nonlinear modal time history cases.
- Nonlinear stiffness formation, event determination, and state update algorithms for the elements below:Frame/, Pipe
- Link
- Plane/Asolid
- Solid Shell, and Link elements for nonlinear static and nonlinear direct integration time history cases.
It is also possible run multiple load cases simultaneously regardless of the load case type.
Future CSIĀ Software releases will offer additional parallel processing capabilities for various software applications.
