Does ETABS consider both formulas when calculating live-load reduction factors

NBCC95 (4.1.6.9)

provides two formulas for live-load (LL) reduction factors, based on floor-surface live load, including:
- 0.5 +
...
- √(20/A)
...
- , when LL

- ≥ 4.

- 8kPa
- 0.3 +

- √(9.8/B)

- 8kPa
Answer: ETABS uses the 0.3 + √(9.8/B) for computing the reduced live load factor (RLLF). Any load which is defined as Reducible Live load type in formulation to compute live-load reduction factors because occupancy type is not known to the software. Any load defined with the load type Reducible Live (available through Define > Load Case menu ) will automatically be reduce by the programreduced. The load which is not being reduced can may only be applied as Live type onlywith the load type Live.
