The bridge modeler creates an object-based bridge model. Structural *components* are based on parametric definitions involving deck type and various bridge properties. For example, [link|kb:Link] elements represent bearings, [body constraints|Body constraint DRAFT] represent girder-deck connections, etc. Additional element descriptions are as follows:

Based on the parametric definition, the Bridge Modeler creates a structural model for the analysis. The structural elements that are created (such as [links|kb:Link] representing the bearing, [body constraints|Body constraint DRAFT] used for connection of the girder to the deck, etc.) vary depending on the deck section of the bridge and other bridge properties and are described in detail below.
