Soil supports can be linear or multilinear distributed supports assigned to selected piping or structural elements as a stiffness per unit length and CSiPlant will automatically discretize the model with options to control the internal meshing. Soil stiffness properties can be different in each acting direction with soil support local axes following piping local axes.
In addition to user defined soil stiffness, CSiPlant also can auto-generate soil properties based on American Lifelines Alliance (ASCE) soil property guidelines using the 'General' tab in the Define Supports>Distributed.
