Tension and compression limits

Tension and compression limits may be assigned to tendons which are modeled as objects and evaluated through nonlinear analysis. Tension limits should be set to a positive value, while compression should be negative. No-compression behavior is specified by setting the compression limit to zero. No-compression is typical except for bonded tendons, which may take some compression. When both tension and compression limits are set to zero, the tendon will not carry axial force. These limits are elastic, therefore any axial deflection beyond specified limiting values will occur and recover with zero axial stiffness.
