LSHOST is a system environment variable that is used to specify location of the license servers. Unlike for LSFORCEHOST which forces the program to look for license on a single server only, multiple license servers can be specified when using LSHOST.

Notation

The following notation should be used to separate different servers:

Separate license server host names with a tilde ( ~ ). However, please note that a colon ( : ) was used to separate server host names for the programs versions that use older format of the license files, specifically for license files in LM7 and LM8 format. See Sentinel RMS License Manager page for listing of programs that use license files in LM7 and LM8 format. 

Example:

SET LSHOST=ACCT_SERVER~FINANCE_SRV
