In this example we will add two 8 ft. by 12 ft. expansion loops in a 80 ft long run of pipe. Use Draw Joint icon and click on the first anchor point to add point/joint 16 ft. in the X direction along the longitudinal axis of the piping followed by a point 8 ft. in the X direction away from the point that was just added. Repeat those step in the -X direction starting from the anchor on the other end as shown.

Next we will select the piping run and the 4 newly added point in order to divide the piping. Although in this example we could have used the Select All icon , instead we will hold down the left mouse key and scroll right-to-left in order to select everything which intersects that box. Note how CSiPlant displays the number of points and pipes selected in the bottom left part of the screen.

Go to Edit>Edit pipes>Divide Pipes and select the Break at Intersections with Selected Joints and Press OK.

Left click to select the 2 pipes shown below, then click Delete on your keyboard and press Ok to the warning message to delete these 2 pipes.

Left click to select joints as shown and press the I key on your keyboard followed by Q or click Pipe Object type, select your desired Pipe property set, use Insert type 'Offset' and type 12 ft. in the Y direction and click Apply.

The two end joints should by default be selected, so Insert a pipe 8 ft. in the X direction using the same Offset Insert type and click Apply button.

Insert pipe -12 ft. in Y direction using Offset Insert type to complete the loops by clicking OK
