CSiPlant offers extensive temperature-dependent ASME B31 and ASME Section II-D material property libraries with code-based stress allowables, pipe section libraries for ASME B36.10 and B36.19, multiple spring hanger vendor libraries, and multiple vendor libraries for valves and flanges. Steel frame section libraries for AISC (Imperial and Metric) and 13 International frame section libraries.

CSiPlant also offers an ASME B16.34 and B16.5 valve and flange material library with temperature-dependent pressure ratings. With this data, engineers can determine whether their components may be used within the ratings to maintain system integrity and safety. This material pressure rating library data is also used for flange leakage checks.

Users can add their own reusable libraries of pipe supports (including gaps, friction, stiffness values), valves, flanges, expansion joints, and pipe materials. These libraries can be a time saver when creating and modifying CSiPlant models. For example, if a user imports or opens a model file with 70 guides of the same type spread throughout the model, and then needs to make a change to the guide property, the user only needs to modify 1 guide property in the library in order to modify all 70 guides. This approach is a huge time saver as compared to having to modify each support one-at-a-time. Expansion joint library properties includes tie rod specifications, including options for tension and compression gaps. Tie rods are not treated as a separate object requiring Cnodes and other complex time consuming modeling approaches.

CSiPlant’s temperature-dependent ASME material property library is not limited to piping materials, and includes materials for structural shapes including structural pipe, castings, forgings, plates, sheets, and bars.
