When numerical or stability problems arise during analysis, information may be retrieved using the standard solver, available through Analyze > Set Analysis Options > Solver Options. The log file will then be available for review. Numerical problems should always be fully resolved before analysis results are interpreted.
When
CSI
Software encounters zero stiffness, a warning message will indicate that a small stiffness value has been assigned such that numerical formulation may proceed. The model should still be checked to identify and remove the source of zero stiffness.
