If you are facing problems with your SAP2000 installation, you can use the following steps to install the latest version of the program and see if this resolves the issue you are facing:

(1) Uninstall SAP2000 V14 using "Add/Remove Programs" in the control panel.

(2) Delete the installation folder (typically C:\Program File\Computers and Structures\SAP2000 14)

(3) Delete the user setting folder. Depending upon the OS, the user settings folder is:

  • Windows Vista/7 - C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\Local\Computers and Structures
  • Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings[User Name]\Local Settings\Application Data\Computers and Structures

4. Download the standalone installation using the link provided by CSI and use to install the program.

Please note that every fresh installation of SAP2000 will put the default trial license in the installation folder. After the installation, you would need to delete the trial license file (file named "lservrc" in the installation folder) so that the program can use the permanent license file instead.
