In this example we will add two 8 ft. by 12 ft. expansion loops in to a 80 ft long run of pipe. Use Draw Joint icon and click on the first anchor point to add point/joint 16 ft. in the X direction along the longitudinal axis of the piping, followed by a point 8 ft. in the X direction away from the point that was just added. Repeat those step in the -X direction starting from the anchor on the other end as shown.

Left click to select the 2 pipes shown below, then click Delete on your keyboard and press Ok to the warning to delete these 2 pipesmessage.

 


Left click to select joints as shown and press the I key on your keyboard for Insert commands followed by Q or click Pipe Object type. Make sure to select your desired Pipe property set, use Insert type 'Offset' and type 12 ft. in the Y direction and click Apply.

The two end joints should by default be selected, so Insert a pipe 8 ft. in the X direction using the same Offset Insert type and click Apply button.

Use Ctrl+M keyboard shortcut to move selected elements. In this example we will slide the 2 selected expansion loops 8ft. in X direction.
