CSiPlant's Define>Functions>Time history offer several options to quickly generate cyclic sinusoidal time history loads to analyze piping pulsations from reciprocating equipment. In the example below we add a cosine function with .025 period (seconds), which is 40 Hertz. Options are also available for users to specify Steps per cycle, number of cycles, amplitude shift, initial time shift, phase shift and wave rectification. There is no limit to the number of time history functions which can be defined and analyzed. This function can be applied to an assigned load, typically at a max pulsation point load on elbows.
Users can also apply sine and cosine functions to analyze unbalanced loads from any vibrating machinery.
