The results\\

Results which are reported for the individual stages of a staged -construction [load case|kb:Load case] are cumulative. resultsFor (for example, resultsStage for2 stageresults 2 contain contribution from both stagesStage 1 and Stage 2).

* Post-process [SAP2000|sap2000:home] resultsoutput. To obtain results for stageStage _n_, subtractfor resultsexample, forsubtract stageStage (_n-1)_ results from resultsthose forof stageStage _n_.

* Redefine the single staged -construction load case as a chained sequence of load cases, each using stiffness at the end of the previous case. ThenNext, setupdefine a [load combination|kb:Load combination] towhich obtaincollects results only for a given stageStage _n_ as follows:
** results for stage n only\\
\\
Stage _n_ results = (cumulative resultsStage for stage n_n_ results) - (cumulative results for stage (Stage _n-1_ results))

A [staged-construction|kb:Staged construction] load case (STAGED) is defined, then incremental loads of 1kN, 10kN, and 100kN are applied in stagesStages 1, 2, and 3, as shown in Figure 2:

To obtain noncumulative results only for stages{center-text}Figure 2 - Staged-construction load case{center-text}

Noncumulative results are then obtained for Stages 2 and 3, setup a single-stage staged construction load cases " by defining staged-construction load cases which have only single stages. These [load cases|kb:Load case] (named STAGED stage 1", "STAGED stage 2", and "STAGED stage 3" that) are equivalent to the original STAGED construction load case, butexcept thethat loading is represented asby a chained sequence of separateindividual load cases. rather than a single load case.

Then setup load combinations "Next, [load combinations|kb:Load combination] (named stage 1 only", "stage 2 only", and "stage 3 only" as described above to obtain noncumulative results for each stage. The figure below shows that results are as expected:) are defined in a similar manner. Once analysis is run, results are obtained for individual stages, as shown in Figure 3:
