LSFORCEHOST is an environment variable that is used for network licenses to specify location of the license server. Using this variable forces the program to look up the network license on a single license server identified by its IP address or name.

Setting LSFORCEHOST value

The procedure for setting LSFORCEHOST value for Windows XP and Windows 7 is given below.

  • Select Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced (tab).
  • Select Environment Variables, then select System Variables > New.
  • Enter the information which follows:
