\\ Bridge objects which have a large number of post-tensioned [tendons|kb:Tendon] may be modeled more efficiently by either using [interactive database editing|kb:Interactive database editing] or by [importing|kb:Import] a spreadsheet which lists tendon data. Manual entry of tendon data may be unnecessarily time-consuming. Spreadsheet import is also a useful approach when tendon profile is described by a set of parameters which differs from that used by [CSiBridge|csibridge:home]. Given such a case, users should first convert tendon definition from the customized format to the format consistent with CSiBridge. Converted data may then be imported. h1. Background Bridge-tendon data is located in the database tables shown in Figure 1: \\ !Figure 1.png|align=center,border=0! {center-text}Figure 1 - Bridge-tendon data table{center-text} h1. Importing tendon data These tables, shown in Figure 1, may be exported to Excel using the Orb > Export > Excel option. Tendon data may then be modified in Excel, and imported back to CSiBridge using the Orb > Import > Excel option. h1. Entering tendon data viathrough interactive database editing Alternatively, users may edit tendons directly by using the interactive-database-editing feature, available through Advanced > Edit > More > Interactive Database Editing. |
