The term "structural connection" is merely used to designate a line that visualizes how is the load from a [lane loading point|kb:Lane loading point] distributed to the tributary joints in the model. The program does not create any rigid members for these structural connections. The logic for connecting lanes to frames is to look perpendicularly to the layout line and try to find two frames to connect to, else to cantilever from one frame.

You can review how the load is distributed from the lane loading points to the structure via "Display > Show Lanes" menu command. This menu command will open "Show Lane" form; make sure to select "Show Points Only" or "Show Points and Connections" option. |
